Renowned Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho has arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the coverage of the Al Ahly vs. Zamalek match.
This marks the first time the Egyptian Cup final will be held in Saudi Arabia, scheduled to take place this Friday evening at the Al-Oula Park Stadium.
Turki Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, shared a photo of Mourinho’s arrival in Riyadh.
Earlier, Al Sheikh announced Mourinho’s presence at the Egyptian Cup final between Al Ahly and Zamalek to provide analysis from the studio.
Speaking on ON Time Sports 2, Al Sheikh stated, “Jose Mourinho will be present at the Egyptian Cup final between Al Ahly and Zamalek to analyze the match from the studio.”
He further added, “The final will be filmed with 44 cameras, including 28 inside the stadium.”
Al Sheikh continued, “The Egyptian Cup final will be directed by a Spanish-American crew, the same crew that directed the World Cup final between Argentina and France, consisting of more than 130 individuals.”
Concluding his statements, he emphasized, “The match will be broadcast with the highest possible quality for the audience to enjoy every detail.”
The match will take place at the Al-Oula Park Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This marks the first time the Egyptian Cup final has been held outside the country.
Each club will receive $100,000 for participation, with the winner receiving a prize of $350,000 and the runner-up receiving an additional $150,000.
This announcement comes before Turki Al Sheikh declared an additional prize from the Riyadh Season of $500,000 for the team winning the title.
Consequently, the winner of the Egyptian Cup will receive $950,000.
