Al Ain seized a crucial advantage against Al Nassr, emerging victorious with a narrow 1-0 scoreline. The spotlight of the match shone on the Moroccan maestro, Soufiane Rahimi, whose brilliance proved to be the defining factor in this tightly contested affair.

Despite the return of Sadio Mané to the Champions League for Al Nassr, the Riyadh-based club faced a stern test on the pitch as they clashed with Al Ain in the quarter-final first leg.

The journey to Al Ain proved challenging for the Saudi championship’s second-placed team, ultimately succumbing to a slim defeat.

The turning point of the game unfolded towards the end of the first half, with Soufiane Rahimi delivering a moment of magic for Al Ain.

The Moroccan international, operating as a striker, capitalized on an exquisite combination play.

Positioned in the penalty area, Rahimi showcased his skill by eluding the Al Nassr goalkeeper, slotting the ball into the net with precision.

Despite relentless pressure from the Al Nassr attack, featuring the likes of Sadio Mané, Al Ain resiliently held their ground.

The defensive prowess of Ivorian stalwart Kouadio played a pivotal role in maintaining the slender lead until the final whistle.

With this hard-fought victory, Al Ain now holds a valuable advantage as they approach the return leg scheduled for March 11.

Al Nassr, led by the dynamic Sadio Mané, faces an uphill battle at home, requiring a formidable performance to overturn the deficit and secure a spot in the coveted Asian Champions League semi-finals.

Football enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the electrifying atmosphere that the return match promises to deliver.
