Kaizer Chiefs name starting XI for Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final against Siwelele FC

Kaizer Chiefs and Siwelele FC have confirmed their starting line-ups for Sunday evening’s Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs are seeking an immediate response after suffering a 2-1 defeat by Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby. It was their first loss in the Betway Premiership this campaign.

The home side will also be aiming to beat Free State-based Siwelele FC for a second time this season, having already defeated them in the league.

Victory would take Kaizer Chiefs into the semi-finals of the league cup for the first time since 2024.

Amakhosi have already been knocked out of the MTN 8 in the first round and are looking to remain in contention for silverware after ending the 2025/2026 term without a trophy.

Siwelele FC, meanwhile, are hoping to use the cup tie to build momentum during a difficult campaign. They are third from bottom of the league, with six points from nine matches.

Kaizer Chiefs will start with Petersen in goal, behind a defence of Solomons, Dortley, Moloisane and Mako.

Maboe and Mthethwa are named in midfield, while Vilakazi, Shabalala, Mmodi and Duba complete the starting XI.
