Lassine Sinayoko and Elye Wahi are among the three nominees for the UNFP Player of the Month award for October in Ligue 1.
The two forwards are joined on the shortlist by Florian Thauvin, who also enjoyed an impressive month.
Sinayoko maintains outstanding form
Lassine Sinayoko, who was also nominated in September, has continued to establish himself as one of Paris FC’s key players.
The Mali international is Ligue 1’s leading scorer with eight goals and added two more in October, while also providing three assists. His contribution has helped Paris FC climb to fourth place in the league.
Sinayoko’s nomination recognises a sustained run of form that has made him one of the most influential attacking players in the competition so far this season.
Wahi makes an impact for Nice
Elye Wahi has also attracted attention with a prolific spell for OGC Nice.
The 23-year-old Ivorian forward scored five times during October, including a notable hat-trick in Nice’s 5-2 victory over Rennes.
That run of goals represents a significant return to form for Wahi and underlines his growing importance to OGC Nice. His performances have placed him among the leading contenders for the monthly award.
Thauvin completes the shortlist after making a major attacking contribution for RC Lens. The former Marseille player scored once and supplied five assists in October, establishing himself as one of his side’s main creative outlets.
The three nominees offer contrasting profiles, with the winner set to follow Ferran Torres, who claimed the award for September.
The trophy will go to the player who receives the most votes in the public ballot. For both Sinayoko and Wahi, the nomination further confirms their excellent starts to the season and the increasingly important roles they are playing for their respective clubs.
