The Segunda Division match between CD Tenerife and Andorra FC was abandoned on Monday after a collision left Tenerife forward Jesus de Miguel unconscious and requiring emergency treatment.

With the score level at 2-2, Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono made heavy contact with De Miguel, prompting the referee to stop the match immediately.

De Miguel lost consciousness at once, sparking panic among the players and staff on the pitch. He suffered a cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated by emergency workers inside the ambulance, where they performed life-saving cardiac massage.

The Tenerife player is now breathing independently, but his overall condition remains unknown following his admission to hospital.
