Bayern Munich will not sign replacement for injured Ismael Saibari this winter

Bayern Munich have decided against signing a replacement for Ismael Saibari during the upcoming winter transfer window, despite the midfielder suffering a serious ankle injury against Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga club believe the imminent returns of Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz from injury will provide sufficient cover in the short term.

Bayern’s leadership would rather preserve its available funds for the summer transfer market than make a rushed decision in January. Mid-season recruits are often expensive, while suitable players can also be difficult to secure, reinforcing the club’s preference to wait.

According to BILD, Bayern are instead planning a major and costly attacking signing for summer 2027.

That longer-term strategy has led the Munich club’s decision-makers to protect their current budget, allowing them to make a significant move in the next summer transfer window.
