Issouf Sissokho: Leeds linked with M. Tel Aviv midfielder
Malian midfielder Issouf Sissokho is the subject of reported interest from Leeds, with the Premier League club linked with a move for the M. Tel Aviv player.
Sissokho, 24, plays as a defensive midfielder and currently represents M. Tel Aviv in Israel’s Ligat ha’Al. The proposed move would take him from Israeli top-flight football to the Premier League, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached or that negotiations have been completed.
The midfielder’s current contract runs until 30 June 2027, meaning M. Tel Aviv remain in a position to retain him beyond the current season. His market value is listed at €1.7m.
The reported interest comes with Sissokho still contracted to the Israeli club, rather than approaching the final months of his deal. Leeds’ interest therefore appears to concern a player who would require a transfer agreement, with the length of his contract an important factor in any potential negotiations.
Sissokho joined M. Tel Aviv’s senior setup after developing in Mali and has established his current position as a defensive midfielder. His age, role and existing deal place the focus on whether Leeds decide to advance the reported approach into formal discussions.
For now, Sissokho remains a M. Tel Aviv player, with his contract due to expire in June 2027.
