Raphinha double gives Barcelona early advantage against Deportivo Alaves at Camp Nou

Raphinha continued his impressive scoring form for Barcelona by finding the net twice against Deportivo Alaves in La Liga.

The Brazil forward opened the scoring after only eight minutes, finishing a move created by Pedri and Fermin Lopez. Pedri played a pass through to Lopez on the left, and the midfielder delivered a precise cross into the penalty area. Raphinha made a sharp run to meet it and directed his shot into the net.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick’s side extended their lead shortly before half-time when Raphinha struck again. Once more, Fermin Lopez was the provider, with the Brazilian producing a composed finish while running to complete his brace.

The two goals took Raphinha’s total for the season to 17 in all competitions. He has scored 15 times in La Liga and twice in the Champions League.

The brace came before Raphinha travels to Singapore to join the Brazil squad. He has now scored in seven of the 14 matches he has played this season.

Raphinha has also scored against Elche, Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano, Feyenoord, Sevilla and Real Madrid during the campaign.
