Real Madrid defender Eder Militao’s home burgled during El Clasico

Real Madrid defender Eder Militao had watches and jewellery worth more than 350,000 euros stolen from his home while he was involved in Sunday’s El Clasico against Barcelona.

The burglary took place between 21:00 and 22:00 during the first half of the match, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo. Militao was an unused substitute for Real Madrid, while members of his family watched the game downstairs at the house in the La Moraleja area of Madrid.

At least two people are reported to have entered one of the upper rooms of the property. The thieves took a Rolex watch valued at about 53,000 euros and a Richard Mille watch worth almost 170,000 euros.

Three Chanel bags, estimated to be worth around 15,000 euros, were also stolen. The haul included Cartier rings and bracelets valued at approximately 25,000 euros, as well as further jewellery, bracelets and travel bags.

Police attended the property alongside security staff from the gated residential complex. Residents did not notice any suspicious activity while the burglary was taking place.

When officers searched Militao’s room, they found its contents scattered, revealing signs of the break-in.
