Valencia extend David Otorbi contract until 2031

Valencia CF have extended David Otorbi’s contract until 30 June 2031 after activating an option in the young winger’s existing deal.

The Spanish club confirmed the decision on its official website, underlining its commitment to one of the most promising players to emerge from its academy. Otorbi has been part of the Valencia CF youth system since he was 12 and has continued to progress into the first-team set-up.

The winger has made 14 official appearances for the senior side and is becoming an increasingly important part of the club’s sporting plans. He recently reached another milestone when he scored his first goal for the first team against Racing Santander on the eighth matchday of LaLiga.

The new agreement reflects the confidence Valencia CF’s directors have in Otorbi’s ability to establish himself at the highest level. The 16-year-old already holds a place in the club’s history after becoming its youngest player to make an official debut in January 2024.

Otorbi was 16 years, two months and 19 days old when he first played for Valencia CF. His latest contract will allow the Spanish winger of Nigerian origin to continue his development at a club and academy environment he knows well.

His market value is estimated at 3.5 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Valencia CF’s next fixture will come in the 11th round of the Spanish league, when they face Elche.
