Adi Hutter reveals what has sparked Fares Chaibi’s impressive revival at Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Fares Chaibi has earned praise from head coach Adi Hutter for his impressive performances, with the Austrian describing the Algerian international as being in exceptional form ahead of Sunday’s Bundesliga meeting with Hamburger SV.
The 23-year-old has established himself as an important figure in Frankfurt’s midfield, with his improved consistency and commitment earning him greater trust from the coaching staff.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Hütter highlighted Chaïbi’s work ethic and technical ability while explaining how his attitude has improved in recent weeks.
“He is a very hardworking player and, in my opinion, has a lot of quality,” the Frankfurt coach said.
Hütter admitted that he had previously been dissatisfied with certain aspects of the midfielder’s training performances and held a lengthy conversation with him about what was required to reach another level.
“I said: If you want to take the next step, you have to start training well every day.”
The discussion appears to have produced the desired response, with Chaïbi maintaining higher standards in training and translating that improvement into his performances on the pitch.
“He has been doing that for weeks now, and accordingly, his performances have improved,” Hütter explained.
The coach also praised the 23-year-old’s contribution without possession, particularly his work rate, defensive commitment and ability to support his teammates.
“He runs an incredible amount and also helps out defensively. That’s why he plays, because he does it for the team,” Hütter added.
Chaïbi’s delivery from set pieces is another quality that has impressed the Frankfurt manager, who believes his ability to create opportunities from dead-ball situations adds another dimension to the team’s attacking play.
The Algerian also impressed during Frankfurt’s 3-1 DFB-Pokal victory over Hamburg on Tuesday, further strengthening his position ahead of Sunday’s Bundesliga rematch.
Hütter has expressed considerable satisfaction with Chaïbi’s recent development, and the midfielder will be hoping to maintain his impressive form as Frankfurt prepare for another meeting with the same opponents.
