French club Strasbourg have extended the contract of Moroccan international Samir Morabit until the summer of 2031 in a move aimed at securing the midfielder’s future amid reported interest from major European clubs.

The new agreement extends Morabit’s previous contract, which was due to run until 2030, giving Strasbourg an additional year of commitment from the Moroccan player.

The club announced the extension through a post on its account on the social networking platform Vasibok.

Strasbourg’s decision comes after Morabit reportedly attracted interest from several European clubs and came close to changing teams during the summer transfer window.
