Amine Gouiri on the radar of Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for Marseille forward Amine Gouiri ahead of the January transfer window, with manager Roberto De Zerbi keen to strengthen his attacking options.

The Premier League side had previously explored the possibility of signing the Algerian international during the summer transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise.

However, Tottenham could revive their interest in the 26-year-old as they assess potential reinforcements for the second half of the season.

According to reports, De Zerbi has requested the signing of Gouiri as he looks to add more quality and depth to his attacking department.

Despite the reported interest, Tottenham have yet to make an official approach to Marseille for the forward.

The North London club must first resolve their current attacking situation before deciding whether to pursue a formal move for the Algeria international.

Gouiri’s contract situation could also prove significant in any potential negotiations, with the forward tied to Marseille until June 2029.

The French club are therefore in a strong negotiating position, meaning Tottenham could face a difficult task if they decide to push ahead with their interest in the coming months.

Gouiri has made an encouraging start to the season in Ligue 1, registering five goals and two assists in eight appearances for Marseille.

His impressive performances have strengthened his reputation as an attacking option capable of contributing both goals and creativity in the final third.

With the January transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will turn their reported interest into a formal bid for the Algerian forward or pursue alternative targets to strengthen their attack.
