The Leopardeaux have reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA U15 World Cup 2026 after defeating Oman 2-0 in the last 16 of Level D in Azerbaijan.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Under-15 side produced another assured display in the final phase of the tournament, maintaining the technical authority and composure they have shown since the competition began.
A controlled performance enabled the national team to secure a clear victory and confirm their place in the last eight. The result also underlined the progress of a promising generation of Congolese players on the international stage.
The Leopardeaux will now face Somalia for a place in the semi-finals. With little time to celebrate their success against Oman, the young Congolese side must quickly prepare for another significant challenge as they continue their campaign in Azerbaijan.
The team will be aiming to extend its run in the competition and further raise the profile of the DRC at the global level.
