Borussia Dortmund linked with Borussia Monchengladbach teenager Wael Mohya

German-Moroccan attacking midfielder Wael Mohya is being linked with a move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Bundesliga rivals Dortmund, with the 17-year-old valued at €17m.

Mohya has established himself in Monchengladbach’s senior squad this season, appearing in all seven of the club’s Bundesliga matches and scoring twice, while also providing one assist. He started 57% of those league games and played in 58% of the available minutes.

He also scored in Monchengladbach’s only DFB-Pokal appearance this campaign, completing the full match.

The midfielder joined Monchengladbach’s senior side from the club’s under-19 team in July 2025, having previously progressed through the club’s youth system. He was part of the Monchengladbach under-17 side that won the German Under-17 Bundesliga title in the 2024-25 season.

Mohya, who was born in Mettmann, can represent both Germany and Morocco and is listed as capable of using either foot. His current market value is €17m, reflecting his rapid progression into first-team football.

The reported interest would involve a move between two Bundesliga clubs, but the transfer remains a rumour. Mohya is currently part of Monchengladbach’s first-team set-up.
