Amir Azmy Megahid set to lead Farco after Egyptian Cup exit

Amir Azmy Megahid is expected to become Farco’s new head coach after the club parted company with Mohammed Attia following their Egyptian Cup elimination, according to FilGoal.com.

Farco were knocked out in the fourth preliminary round after losing 4-2 on penalties to Misr Insurance.

The club announced Attia’s departure shortly after the defeat. He had been in charge for 10 Professional League matches, overseeing six wins, one draw and three defeats. Farco collected 19 points during that run and currently sit fourth in the table.

Azmy is expected to take charge of a new coaching team at Farco, with the proposed staff comprising:

– Amir Azmy Megahid – head coach – Abdallah El-Shahat – coach – Sherif Ashraf – coach – Ramy Serag – goalkeeping coach

Farco’s first match under the new coaching staff is scheduled for Thursday, when they will face Telecom Egypt in the 11th round of the Professional League.

Azmy helped Abu Qir Fertilizers secure promotion to the Egyptian Premier League last season, earning the club a place in the top flight for the first time in its history.
