Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has named his squad for the Clasico against Barcelona in the 10th round of La Liga, with Vinicius Junior among four players ruled out of the fixture.
The Brazil winger will miss one of the most important matches of the season while serving a suspension, rather than because of a physical problem. He is set to complete the second of a four-match ban imposed by the competition committee.
Two matches of the suspension relate to an incident involving Saliba during Real Madrid’s game against Villarreal, while two further matches were added because of Vinicius’ subsequent protests.
The appeal committee of the Spanish Football Federation upheld the punishment, meaning the player is not expected to return to La Liga action until late November.
Mourinho will also be without Rodrygo and Raul Asensio, who remain in recovery from their respective injuries. Ferland Mendy has likewise been left out of the squad, despite having taken part in team training on more than one occasion.
The match will therefore begin without four players who might otherwise have been considered for selection, with Vinicius the most prominent absence from the Real Madrid group.
The squad selected for the meeting with Barcelona is:
Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin, Mestri.
Defenders: Eder Militao, Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Cucurella, Alvaro Carreras, Antonio Rudiger, Dumfries.
Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, Bernardo, Thiago.
Forwards: Endrick, Kylian Mbappe, Carlos Espe, Brahim Diaz, Yan Diomande.
Real Madrid published the list on 24 October 2026 ahead of the Clasico, which forms part of the 10th round of the Spanish league season.
