Inzaghi’s Al Hilal future remains undecided amid Juventus speculation

Simone Inzaghi has not entered negotiations with Juventus and is currently focused on achieving his objectives with Al Hilal, a source close to the Saudi club has told Kooora.

Reports in recent days have suggested that the Italian manager was in talks with Juventus over becoming the club’s next head coach. The Serie A side have endured an unsettled season under Luciano Spalletti, with inconsistent results, disagreements with the club’s management and reported confrontations with some players.

Juventus are understood to be considering replacing Spalletti if the team’s form continues to decline. According to several trusted Italian sources, the club have already begun exploring possible alternatives, with Inzaghi among the leading candidates.

However, a source close to Al Hilal dismissed those reports in comments made exclusively to Kooora.

“Inzaghi has not entered any negotiations with Juventus, as has been reported in recent days. The Italian coach is currently focused on achieving his objectives with Al Hilal,” the source said.

The source added that Inzaghi’s position beyond the end of the season had not yet been decided.

“Inzaghi has a contract with Al Hilal until the end of the season. The club have not yet determined whether he will continue or leave after that period, as the real criterion for evaluation is his ability to achieve the league and Asian double,” the source said.

Inzaghi strengthened his position with Al Hilal on Friday by guiding them to a 3-2 victory over Al Qadsiah in the 11th round of the Saudi Pro League.

That result has raised expectations around the team and contributed to a sense of stability within the club and among its supporters.

The 49-year-old took charge of Al Hilal in June 2025 after terminating his contract with Inter Milan. During his first season with the Saudi club, he secured only the King’s Cup, a return that led to frustration among the club’s supporters.

The club’s assessment of his tenure will therefore centre on whether he can deliver the Saudi Pro League title and success in Asia, rather than on the current reports linking him with a move to Juventus.

For now, Inzaghi remains in charge of Al Hilal, with his future expected to be reviewed once his contract expires at the end of the season.
