Inzaghi marks landmark Al Hilal milestone after victory over Al Qadsiah

Simone Inzaghi recorded his 50th victory as Al Hilal manager after his side beat Al Qadsiah 3-2 in a dramatic Roshn Saudi League match on Friday.

The result came in the 11th round of the competition and gave Al Hilal more than three points from a closely contested fixture. It also underlined the Italian’s impressive record since taking charge, as the club returned to the top of the league standings.

Inzaghi has now won 50 of his 66 matches in charge of Al Hilal across domestic and continental competitions. The achievement puts him halfway to a century of victories with the club.

His record also includes three defeats and 12 draws during that period, figures which highlight the scale of Al Hilal’s success under his management.

The victory could have been recorded as Inzaghi’s 51st had the club’s penalty shootout success against Al Ahli in last season’s King’s Cup semi-final been included. That match finished 5-4 on penalties, meaning it is not counted as a victory achieved during normal playing time.

Al Hilal’s latest win lifted them to 27 points and moved them into first place in the Roshn Saudi League, despite the team having a match in hand. The result maintained their progress in the title race while adding another significant milestone to Inzaghi’s time at the club.

The manager is now moving closer to 100 wins with Al Hilal, having reached the halfway mark following Friday’s three-goal success.
