The second-leg matches in the 2026-2027 CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round began on Friday, 23 October, with Raja Casablanca and Primeiro de Agosto securing their places in the next stage.
Kaizer Chiefs were eliminated after losing a penalty shootout to Red Arrows, despite overturning their first-leg deficit in South Africa.
The South African side had gone into the match needing to recover from a 1-0 defeat in Zambia. Kaizer Chiefs won the return fixture 1-0, bringing the aggregate score level and sending the tie to penalties.
Red Arrows prevailed 3-2 in the shootout to advance, ending Kaizer Chiefs’ continental campaign.
Primeiro de Agosto also completed their qualification with a second victory over DC Virunga. Having won the first leg 2-1, the Angolan club claimed a 1-0 success in the return match to go through 3-1 on aggregate.
Raja Casablanca produced a convincing result in front of their home supporters against El-Kanemi Warriors. The first meeting had ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw, but the Moroccan side secured a 2-0 victory in the second leg.
That result gave Raja Casablanca a 4-2 aggregate win and confirmed their place in the next round of the competition.
