Andre Onana escapes injury after car crash in Turkiye

Trabzonspor goalkeeper Andre Onana was unharmed after his car was involved in a multi-vehicle collision in northern Turkiye following his side’s Uefa Conference League victory over Hearts.

The 30-year-old Cameroon international was travelling home with his family when the incident happened in the Yomra district of Trabzon, according to Turkish media outlet 61Saat.

Onana’s vehicle was hit from behind by another car and was pushed into a third vehicle, the report said.

Neither the goalkeeper nor any member of his family was injured. Trabzonspor officials also went to the scene to check on Onana after the crash.

Club president Ertugrul Dogan confirmed that Onana was in good condition, according to media reports.

The accident occurred after Trabzonspor beat Scottish side Hearts 2-0 on Thursday.

Onana joined the Turkish club on loan from Manchester United in 2025. He remains contracted to the Premier League club.
