Nacho faces late fitness test before Al Qadsiah’s meeting with Al Hilal

Al Qadsiah defender Nacho is a major doubt for Friday’s Roshn Saudi League fixture against Al Hilal as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

The Spanish player has missed Al Qadsiah’s past three matches in all competitions, against Pakhtakor, Abha and Al Taawoun, after sustaining the injury to his ankle joint.

Sources cited by Al Riyadiya expect Nacho to miss a fourth consecutive match for Al Qadsiah, although he is due to undergo a final fitness assessment on Friday before a decision is made on his availability.

The match is being played at Al Qadsiah, who lead the league with 25 points from 10 matches. Al Hilal are one point behind them, having played nine games.

Nacho’s potential absence would leave Al Qadsiah waiting until the last moment to confirm their defensive options for a fixture between the top two sides in the table.
