Cameroon Aaron Bibout extends Genk contract until 2030
Cameroonian striker Aaron Bibout has extended his contract with Belgian Pro League side Genk until 2030, with the club retaining an option to add another year, following his impressive progress since arriving in Belgium.
Genk officially announced the contract extension on Thursday, October 22, 2026, rewarding the forward for his development and contributions since joining the club in the summer of 2025.
Bibout initially featured for Genk’s reserve team after his arrival, where he quickly made an impression by scoring 10 goals in 16 appearances. His impressive performances earned him promotion to the senior team, providing him with an opportunity to establish himself at the highest level of Belgian football.
The Cameroonian continued his development with the first team, scoring six goals in 21 Belgian Pro League appearances last season. His performances have strengthened the club’s confidence in his potential, prompting Genk to secure his services on a long-term deal.
The contract extension represents a significant show of faith in the young striker, who will now have an opportunity to continue developing his game and become an increasingly important figure in the club’s attacking plans.
Bibout welcomed the new agreement and expressed his determination to repay the club’s confidence by delivering more goals.
“I’m pleased with the progress I’ve already made here. I know I can do even better. I want to repay the trust the club has placed in me with goals,” Bibout said.
With his future secured until 2030, with the possibility of remaining at the club for an additional season, the Cameroonian forward will be eager to build on his progress and improve his goal return in the coming campaigns.
