Golden Arrows coach Pitso Dladla says the club’s management has given the team its full support and urged everyone to remain united as they try to recover from a difficult start to the Betway Premiership season.
Abafana Bes’thende have won once, drawn five times and lost twice in their opening eight matches. That record leaves them eighth in the table.
Despite the results, Dladla says the situation is not beyond the club’s control and believes the team can overcome its problems collectively.
“If I was in an institution where this would be my problem alone, it would be difficult,” Dladla said.
“It’s not that difficult because even the management emphasises the fact that we’re all together in good and bad, we have their full support and will overcome this.”
The coach believes the backing from the club’s leadership has allowed the technical team to concentrate on strengthening the players’ confidence and mental resilience.
He says that support is visible not only in the club’s public position, but also in the way Golden Arrows operate during their daily work.
“One the things that go unnoticed is the support we get as coaches, what I can say is that here at Arrows we have all the support,” he added.
“Even when you come during the training session, you can see we’re a team that’s organised.”
Dladla feels that a united environment at the club can help the coaching staff give the players the belief required to improve their performances and results.
“Even the management supports us so we can also help the players to have self-belief, I believe once we have that, the team can do better.”
