Golden Arrows head coach Pitso Dladla believes Nhlanhla Zwane can develop into a complete midfielder, despite the increasing attention surrounding the 26-year-old’s performances during the 2026/27 campaign.
Zwane has become one of Golden Arrows’ leading performers this season, with his displays in midfield earning praise from supporters and observers. He has also impressed as part of a midfield trio alongside Ayabulela Maxwele and Nqobeko Dlamini.
The midfielder joined Abafana Bes’thende from AmaTuks in 2023 and has made 70 appearances for the club since his move. His consistent performances have helped establish him as an important member of the squad.
However, Dladla says Zwane still has aspects of his game to improve, despite the growing recognition he has received.
“It’s different from people from outside than us as coaches. We treat all players the same. Each and every player has areas to improve. Nhlanhla has his own areas to improve, but what I can tell you, we’re working very hard to improve them,” Dladla said.
The Golden Arrows coach believes addressing those weaknesses can help Zwane reach a higher level, while stressing that the club’s development work applies to every player in the squad.
“Once we’re done with this, he will become a complete player – but not only for him, this goes to each and every player at Arrows,” he added.
Zwane’s emergence has made him one of the most prominent figures in Golden Arrows’ midfield, but Dladla’s comments underline the club’s view that his development remains ongoing.
