Arsenal prepare €60m bid for Morocco star Brahim Diaz as Real Madrid exit looms
Arsenal are reportedly preparing a €60 million bid to sign Moroccan international Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid during the January 2027 transfer window as manager Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options.
According to reports, the Premier League side are monitoring the 27-year-old forward and are ready to make a significant financial commitment to secure his services ahead of the second half of the season.
Diaz is said to be open to leaving the Spanish giants in January due to his limited playing time since the start of the campaign, with the Morocco international struggling to establish himself as a regular member of the team’s attacking setup.
The report indicates that Diaz has featured in just five official matches this season, accumulating 198 minutes and registering one assist, a situation that could encourage him to consider a move in search of more consistent first-team football.
Arsenal manager Arteta is reportedly keen to reinforce the left side of his attack and views Diaz as a versatile option capable of operating on the left wing or in an advanced role behind the striker.
The Moroccan’s technical ability, creativity and capacity to operate in different attacking positions are believed to make him an attractive option for the Gunners as they seek to add greater depth and flexibility to their forward line.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid could consider allowing Diaz to leave if a suitable offer arrives. According to the report, the Spanish club could use the proceeds from his potential sale to fund the recruitment of a midfielder with strong defensive qualities and the ability to dictate play.
Arsenal are expected to open formal negotiations with Real Madrid in December, with the North London club hoping to reach an agreement before the winter transfer window opens in January 2027.
However, the proposed move remains dependent on Real Madrid’s willingness to accept Arsenal’s reported €60 million offer, with no agreement between the clubs confirmed.
Diaz’s future could therefore become a major talking point ahead of the January window, particularly if his opportunities at the Bernabéu remain limited in the coming weeks.
