Lazio continued their remarkable start to the Serie A season by beating Juventus 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium, moving level on points with leaders Inter after seven matches.
Oliver Provstgaard, Gustav Isaksen and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored for Lazio, who recorded their sixth victory of the campaign. They have also drawn once and remain unbeaten.
The result means Lazio have collected 19 points from their opening seven Serie A fixtures for the first time in the club’s history. They sit second in the table, behind Inter only on goal difference.
Juventus, meanwhile, remain eighth with 11 points.
Lazio took the lead in the 37th minute when Provstgaard headed in Mattia Zaccagni’s cross with a well-directed finish.
Isaksen doubled the visitors’ advantage in the 66th minute, finding the net with a shot from inside the penalty area.
Dele-Bashiru completed the scoring in the 89th minute after carrying the ball forward from just beyond the halfway line, breaking into the Juventus box and finishing powerfully.
The defeat extended Juventus’ winless run against Lazio to four consecutive matches.
Juventus’ most recent victory over Lazio came in 2024, when they won 1-0 in the eighth round of the league season.
Lazio’s impressive beginning has emerged as one of the biggest surprises of the campaign so far, with Gennaro Gattuso’s side now keeping pace with Inter at the top of the standings.
