Angola v Algeria: How to watch the 2026 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations semi-final

Algeria face Angola in the semi-finals of the 2026 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations on Monday, with a place in the final at stake for both sides.

The match will be played at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, Morocco, and will kick off at 19:00 French time and 18:00 in Algeria. It is expected to be shown live on the CAF’s official YouTube channel, CAF TV.

Algeria are competing at the tournament for the first time but have already reached the last four after recovering from a difficult opening match against the hosts and defending champions, Morocco.

The Fennecs began their campaign with a 4-0 defeat by Morocco, who have won the competition three times. They responded with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Libya before claiming their first victory in the competition, beating Zambia 7-4.

That result secured second place in Group A behind Morocco, who finished top of the section. Walid Betterki is Algeria’s leading scorer with three goals, while Mathieu Hammad has scored twice.

Noureddine Benamrouche’s side will now attempt to go one step further and reach what would be a historic final in the team’s first appearance at the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.

Their opponents, Angola, are aiming to fulfil their status as the reigning runners-up. The Palancas Negras secured qualification for the knockout stage after their second group match and confirmed top spot in Group B with a comeback victory over Egypt on the final day.

Angola won that match 4-2, having earlier defeated Mozambique 5-1 and Tanzania 6-0. They finished the group stage with three wins from three matches, making them the only team apart from Morocco to have maintained a perfect record in the tournament.

Joao Cambangula has been central to Angola’s progress. The forward is not only the team’s top scorer but also the leading scorer in the competition so far, with seven goals.

The semi-final therefore brings together an Algeria side making rapid progress in its first continental campaign and an Angola team seeking to reach the final again after finishing as runners-up previously. The winner will advance to the final, while the losing side will see its tournament end in the semi-finals.
