Kevin Schade’s impressive start to the Premier League season has attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool, with the two clubs understood to be the leading contenders for the Brentford winger.

The 24-year-old German of Nigerian descent has scored three goals in eight league appearances, enhancing his reputation among several of England’s leading clubs. His pace, ability to beat defenders and versatility across both wings are understood to have made him an increasingly attractive target.

Arsenal and Liverpool had already been monitoring Schade’s situation during the previous transfer window, but his performances for Brentford have strengthened their interest.

However, Brentford are not expected to make a January departure straightforward. According to TEAMtalk, the London club would demand more than £60m, a figure equivalent to €71m, before considering a sale.

Brentford are also in discussions with Schade over a contract extension. His current agreement runs until June 2028, and an improved salary would give the club greater security over the player’s future.

Schade’s market value is estimated at €50m by Transfermarkt, although Brentford’s reported valuation is significantly higher. The club’s position reflects the importance of the forward to its attacking options and its reluctance to lose him during the middle of the season.

Despite the growing interest, a winter transfer remains uncertain. Brentford want to retain a key member of their attack, while negotiations over a new contract could also influence the player’s next move.

A departure during the summer 2027 transfer window may therefore be a more realistic possibility if the discussions over an extension do not produce an agreement. Arsenal or Liverpool would still need to decide whether to make a formal approach and meet Brentford’s financial demands.
