Mohamed Salah starts for Trabzonspor against KuPS in Conference League opener

Mohamed Salah has been named in the starting line-up for Trabzonspor’s Conference League match against Finnish side KuPS.

Trabzonspor travel to Finland for the opening round of the competition, with kick-off scheduled for 19:45.

Andre Onana starts in goal, while Wagner Pina, Batista Mendy, Samet Akaydin and Cenk Ozkacar make up the defence.

Melih Kabasakal and Ozan Tufan are selected in midfield, with Salah, Benjamin Bouchouari and Aral Simsir operating in the attacking midfield positions. Paul Onuachu leads the attack.

Trabzonspor manager had been considering changes to his line-up because the match is being played on an artificial surface, but Salah has kept his place in the starting XI.

Trabzonspor dropped into the Conference League after losing to Hungarian club Ferencvarosi in the Europa League qualifying rounds. They were beaten 5-0 on aggregate.
