Stade Lavallois linked with Monaco U21 striker Oumar Konate
Oumar Konate, the 19-year-old Ivory Coast centre-forward at Monaco U21, has been linked with a move to Stade Lavallois in Ligue 2.
Konate joined Monaco U21 from SOL FC d’Abobo on 9 July 2025 and remains part of the French club’s development set-up. The forward has also been involved with Monaco’s senior side during the current campaign, making one Ligue 1 appearance and featuring once in Conference League qualifying.
He has yet to score or provide an assist in those appearances, and has not started either match. His Ligue 1 involvement has so far amounted to a brief substitute appearance, while he was also used during Monaco’s European qualifying campaign.
The proposed move would see Konate remain in France while stepping into Ligue 2 football with Stade Lavallois. The clubs occupy different levels of the French game, with Monaco U21 operating as the club’s development side and Laval competing in the second tier.
Konate’s current market value is listed at €500,000. He joined Monaco after beginning his senior club career with SOL FC d’Abobo and has been registered as an Ivory Coast international at youth level through his nationality listing.
The rumour remains unconfirmed, with Konate currently contracted to and playing for Monaco U21.
