Al Ahly and Zamalek semi-finals to be shown exclusively on On Sport Max

On Sport has secured the rights to broadcast the African Handball Champions League semi-finals featuring Al Ahly and Zamalek, with both matches to be shown exclusively on On Sport Max on Tuesday, 13 October.

Al Ahly will face JSK of the Democratic Republic of the Congo at 13:00, before Zamalek meet hosts Petro Atletico at 18:00.

The tournament is being staged in Angola from 4 to 14 October, with both Egyptian clubs reaching the last four after finishing top of their respective groups.

The semi-final schedule for the men’s and women’s competitions was previously announced by the African handball governing body. The remaining fixtures are:

Al Ahly v JSK, Democratic Republic of the Congo – 13:00

Zamalek v Petro Atletico, Angola – 18:00

Women

Primeiro de Agosto, Angola v Abidjan, Ivory Coast – 15:30

Al Ahly v Petro Atletico, Angola – 20:30

Wednesday, 14 October

Women’s final – 17:30

Men’s final – 20:00

The teams finishing first and second in each group progressed directly to the semi-finals, where they will compete for the title.

Al Ahly are the defending champions and have won the competition in each of the past three editions. The Egyptian club have eight titles in total.

Zamalek remain the most successful team in the history of the tournament, with 12 championships. Their most recent triumph came in 2019.
