Al-Ittihad defender Jan-Carlo Simic received the highest player rating after his side’s 3-2 defeat by Al-Hilal in the eighth round of the Roshn Saudi League.
Simic was awarded 8.4 by SofaScore, narrowly finishing ahead of Al-Hilal striker Ollie Watkins, who scored 8.3 despite being on the losing side.
Watkins played a part in all three of Al-Hilal’s goals. He scored the second and provided the assists for the first and third, which were scored by Gabriel Martinelli and Crysencio Summerville respectively.
Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves and Al-Ittihad forward Youssef En-Nesyri shared third place in the ratings, with both players receiving 8.0.
En-Nesyri scored Al-Ittihad’s opening goal, while Neves did not contribute a goal or assist.
Al-Hilal left-back Theo Hernandez was fifth with a rating of 7.8.
The lowest-rated player was Al-Ittihad left-back Fares Abdi, who received 5.8.
