Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has injected €50m into the club, strengthening their ability to pursue major deals during the winter transfer window.
The additional funding is intended to improve Milan’s financial position and accelerate their plans to return to competition at the highest level in Europe, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The investment comes as the Italian club continues to face financial pressure. Milan have failed to qualify for the Champions League in each of the past two seasons and recorded losses of €24m during the previous financial year. The club also expects to remain in deficit during the 2026-2027 season.
Milan are now preparing to use the winter market to reinforce their squad, with Real Madrid forward Endrick and Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio among their leading targets.
Inacio has been linked with Milan for some time and was reportedly considered by the club during the previous summer transfer window. A move for Endrick, however, is more likely to take the form of a loan, with the Brazil forward seeking greater opportunities to play.
Signing Inacio could require a significant financial commitment, leaving Milan’s directors with the challenge of balancing their sporting ambitions against the club’s financial constraints.
The potential moves follow a summer in which Milan spent about €160m on strengthening their squad. They currently sit fifth in Serie A and are aiming to continue improving the team while establishing a regular return to the Champions League.
Alongside their recruitment plans, the club are also pursuing the development of San Siro and seeking to strengthen their position in European football.
