Ferran Torres named French league player of September after scoring twice

Ferran Torres has been named the French league’s player of September after scoring two goals for Paris Saint-Germain during the month.

The Spanish forward made three appearances for Paris Saint-Germain in September and found the net twice.

Paris Saint-Germain began the month with a 2-1 defeat by Monaco. The club then responded with a victory over Brest, secured by a goal from Ferran Torres.

Torres was also on target in the team’s third match of the month, a 2-1 win against Olympique de Marseille.

Paris Saint-Germain will begin their October schedule against Le Mans on Saturday in the sixth round of the French league.

The club are sixth in the table with eight points from two wins, two draws and one defeat.
