Ahmed Koshary has urged Ismaily to remain focused after their 2-1 win over Tanta in the eighth round of the Professional League.
Nader Faraghi and Ali El-Malwany scored for Ismaily, lifting the club to nine points and 12th place in the table.
Koshary dedicated the victory to the supporters who backed the team throughout the match.
“I dedicate this victory to our great fans, who made sure they supported the team from the first moment until the final whistle,” he said in comments released by the club’s media centre.
The Ismaily manager said the result could provide momentum as his side look to climb the standings.
“This victory gives us the motivation to collect more points and move higher in the table,” he added.
Koshary also believes Ismaily have made significant progress in recent weeks and are now better equipped to influence matches against their opponents.
“The team has improved considerably in the recent period and we have become capable of making the difference against our opponents,” he said.
However, he warned his players not to allow the result to distract them from the remaining fixtures.
“We must not over-celebrate because we need to prepare for the rest of the matches,” Koshary said. “I thank the players for their great effort, as well as the board and the fans for their support and backing.”
Tanta remain 15th in the Professional League with eight points after the defeat.
