Burkina Faso U17 receive Oumarou Sawadogo backing before UFOA-B opener

Burkina Faso’s U17 side have received words of encouragement from Federation Burkinabe de Football (FBF) president Oumarou Sawadogo ahead of their opening match in the UFOA-B U17 qualifying tournament.

Sawadogo visited the young Etalons just hours before their first game, offering his support to the squad coached by Mamadou Zongo, known as Bebeto.

Speaking to the players, the FBF president underlined the importance of cohesion, solidarity and team spirit as Burkina Faso prepare for the competition.

He also highlighted patriotism as a key value, saying it would be essential if the side are to overcome the challenge posed by the tournament.

The visit came as the Etalons U17 prepare for an important test, with the team determined to represent Burkina Faso and defend the country’s colours in the qualifying competition for the Africa Cup of Nations at U17 level.
