Moroccan referee Jalal Jed appointed to Saudi Arabia v UAE Gulf 27 final

A Moroccan refereeing team led by international referee Jalal Jed will oversee the Gulf 27 final between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, 6 October.

The match will be played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, with the appointment confirmed by the Gulf Football Federation’s Referees Committee.

Jed will be assisted by fellow Moroccans Zakaria Brinsi and Mostafa Akrkad. Kuwaiti referee Abdullah Jamali has been named fourth official, while his compatriot Saud Al-Shammali will serve as fifth official.

Morocco’s Hamza Al-Fariq will be the video assistant referee. He will be supported by Dutch official Arwin Blank and Bahrain’s Ismail Habib. Omani referee Ibrahim Al-Hosni has been appointed referee assessor.

The Gulf 27 tournament is being staged in Jeddah under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Saudi Arabia secured their place in the final after beating Qatar 3-2 on penalties. The semi-final finished goalless after both normal time and extra time.

The United Arab Emirates reached the decider with a 1-0 victory over Oman.
