Imad Al-Nahhas takes charge of Jordanian club Al-Wehdat

Al-Wehdat have appointed Egyptian coach Imad Al-Nahhas as their new manager following the departure of Wasim Al-Bzour.

The Jordanian club confirmed the appointment on Monday, announcing on Instagram that it had completed the contract formalities for Al-Nahhas and his coaching staff.

Al-Nahhas will be joined by assistants Mohamed Mohsen Abu Gireisha and Abdelrahman Farouk, with Ayman Mohamed appointed as performance analyst.

His first official assignment will come on Friday, when Al-Wehdat face Al-Jazeera at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Al-Qweismeh.

Al-Wehdat have made a slow start to the Jordanian Pro League campaign, collecting only two points from their opening three matches.

The move represents Al-Nahhas’ latest coaching role outside Egypt. He has previously worked with Iraqi club Al-Zawraa, Libya’s Al-Tahaddy and Sudanese side Al-Merrikh.

He has also managed several Egyptian clubs, including Al Ahly, Arab Contractors and Al Masry.
