Ghana’s Rahim Ibrahim vows to repay Slovan Bratislava’s trust after contract extension
Ghanaian international Rahim Ibrahim has vowed to do everything possible to repay Slovan Bratislava after extending his contract with the club.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has agreed to a four-year extension, keeping him at the club until the closure of the 2029/2030.
After putting pen to paper, the former Accra Lions star has shared his excitement while promising to do everything possible to repay the club’s trust in him.
“I am very happy and grateful for the trust the club has shown in me. I am ready to give my all and repay what Slovan has invested in me” he said.
“I already see Bratislava as my home, I have experienced wonderful moments in the Slovan jersey, and I believe that more are yet to come. I am always excited when I run out onto the pitch in the blue jersey and hear the cheering of our great fans. I am extremely looking forward to the continuation of this blue chapter.”
Ibrahim has made 13 appearances for Slovan Bratislava across all competitions this season, scoring two goals as he continues to establish himself as an important member of the squad.
His new contract is another boost to his career following his recent breakthrough at international level.
The midfielder received his first call-up to the Ghana national team for the opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures.
However, despite being included in the Black Stars squad, Ibrahim is yet to make his senior international debut.
He was part of the Ghana squad that suffered consecutive defeats against Ivory Coast and The Gambia during the recent international break.
With his future now secured in Bratislava, Ibrahim will be hoping to maintain his strong club form and eventually make his long-awaited debut for the Black Stars.
