Lavinia FC have announced the completion of their takeover by Pyramids Real Estate Development Company, owned by Egyptian businessman Dr Waleed Al-Tayeb.
The club described the deal as the start of a new chapter in its history, saying it forms part of a long-term plan for continued development.
Lavinia said the move would go beyond the ownership or management of a football club. Instead, it would form part of a wider vision centred on an integrated investment project, with a series of developments and investments planned for the period ahead.
The club said the project was intended to contribute to the support and development of Egyptian football.
Lavinia FC will hold a global news conference to outline the details of the new phase. Representatives of different media organisations, newspapers and websites are expected to attend.
The date of the conference will be announced through the club’s official page.
Lavinia currently compete in the Egyptian Professional League and are 16th in the table, with three points from their opening seven rounds.
