Mohamed Hamad starts as Egypt name line-up for Morocco youth qualifier

Egypt’s youth team have named Mohamed Hamad in their starting line-up for the decisive North Africa qualifying match against Morocco at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium.

The fourth-round fixture in the North Africa qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to begin at 20:00 in Ismailia.

Egypt’s starting XI is:

Goalkeeper: Omar Abdelaziz

Defenders: Mohamed Awad, Nour Ashraf, Eyad Medhat, Mohannad El-Shamy

Midfielders: Younes El-Mallah, Mohamed Samir “Konta”, Mohamed Hamad

Forwards: Omar El-Azab, Anas Roshdy, Omar El-Garhy

The substitutes are Eyad Tamer, Abdullah Badeir, Mohamed Farag, Omar Tharwat, Omar Amin, Yassin Atef, Mahmoud Salah, Mohamed Haitham and Adham Karim.

Egypt know victory would officially secure their place at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The first two teams in the qualifying group will progress directly to the tournament, which is scheduled to be held in Ghana next year.

Africa has been divided into six zones for the qualification process, with two teams from each zone earning a place at the youth Africa Cup of Nations.

Egypt currently lead the North Africa standings with six points from two matches. Morocco are second on four points from two games, ahead of Algeria on the same number of points because the Algerian side have played three matches.

Tunisia have two points from three matches, while Libya are bottom without a point after two games.
