Benin begin acclimatisation in Buenos Aires ahead of Argentina friendly

The Benin national team have begun their recovery and acclimatisation programme in Buenos Aires after completing a long journey ahead of their friendly against Argentina.

Gernot Rohr has arranged a light schedule for the Guepards on their first day, Friday 2 October 2026. The players are due to take part in a gymnastics session at 10:30.

They will also have the option of visiting Libertadores de America stadium from 17:30, giving the squad an opportunity to familiarise themselves with their surroundings.

Benin will continue preparing for their meeting with Lionel Messi’s Argentina, which will take place in the early hours of 6 to 7 October at 00:00 Benin time.

The friendly will be played at Monumental de Buenos Aires.
