Mohamed El Shenawy has signed a new contract with Al Ahly that will keep the Egypt goalkeeper and captain at the Cairo club until 2028.
The 37-year-old has played a key role in Al Ahly’s recent domestic and continental success and will remain in charge of the club’s goalkeeping department. He returned to the club in 2016 and is set to begin a 10th consecutive season with the Egyptian giants.
The new agreement provides Al Ahly with continuity in defence as El Shenawy continues his long-standing association with the club.
