FIFA names 12 African officials for Qatar 2025 U17 World Cup

FIFA has selected 12 African match officials for the U17 World Cup, with four central referees and eight assistants included among the appointments announced on Tuesday.

The tournament will take place in Qatar from 19 November to 13 December. A total of 27 central referees and 54 assistant referees have been chosen to oversee the matches.

Morocco and Cameroon will each have two representatives at the competition. Cameroon’s officials are central referee Ngah Willy and assistant referee Vincent Ngimdoh Nkemazem.

Morocco will be represented by central referee El Baroudi Mohamed and assistant referee Abertoune Abdessamad.

Senegal, Nigeria, Rwanda, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso are also among the African countries represented in the list of officials selected for the tournament.
