Zied Bhar joins CO Medenine as Tunisia defender leaves ES Zarzis

Tunisia centre-back Zied Bhar has joined CO Medenine from ES Zarzis, completing a move on 20 September 2026.

The 27-year-old defender switches clubs after beginning the 2026-27 season with ES Zarzis. Bhar had not made an appearance in Ligue 1 or the CAF Confederation Cup before leaving the club, featuring in neither competition during the opening weeks of the campaign.

Bhar’s arrival gives CO Medenine a defender with experience of Tunisian domestic football. He plays primarily at centre-back and has represented clubs in the country throughout his recorded senior career.

His previous transfer was also between Tunisian sides. On 19 September 2024, Bhar joined CS Msaken from ES Zarzis on loan. That spell ended on 30 June 2025, when he returned to ES Zarzis.

The move to CO Medenine marks Bhar’s second departure from ES Zarzis and his latest club change since returning from CS Msaken. His earlier switch to CS Msaken was recorded as a loan transfer, while his return to ES Zarzis was registered at the end of that loan.

Bhar was born on 17 May 1999 and is a Tunisia international by nationality. At the time of his move, his 2026-27 record showed no appearances, goals or assists in either of the two competitions in which ES Zarzis had been involved. He also had no recorded yellow or red cards in those matches.

CO Medenine have now added the Tunisian centre-back to their squad, while ES Zarzis lose a player who had returned to the club after his season with CS Msaken. The transfer was completed on 20 September 2026.
