Carlos Baleba travels with Manchester United

Carlos Baleba has travelled with Manchester United’s squad for Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Fulham, increasing hopes that the midfielder could make his long-awaited debut for the club.

The Cameroon international was photographed with the team as they left for London. Baleba joined United from Brighton in August but has not yet appeared for his new side after dealing with a calf problem.

His inclusion in the travelling group does not guarantee involvement, although it gives manager Michael Carrick another midfield option. United will assess the 22-year-old before deciding whether he is ready to play.

Luke Shaw and Matthijs de Ligt were also seen among the travelling players, meaning both defenders could potentially return to action. Their availability would strengthen United’s defensive options for a challenging away fixture.

Benjamin Sesko was not spotted with the squad and appears doubtful for the Fulham match. His absence could affect United’s attacking plans, particularly if the visitors need additional firepower during the second half.

The squad also includes Bruno Fernandes, Youri Tielemans, Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo and Carlos Santos in midfield, while Marcus Rashford, Bryan Mbeumo, Joshua Zirkzee and Matheus Cunha are among the forwards.
