Arsenal monitoring Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha as Reds resist transfer interest

Arsenal are keeping close watch on Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, but the Reds have no intention of allowing the 18-year-old to leave.

The England youth international has attracted interest from several leading European clubs, with Arsenal among those monitoring his progress. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Mikel Arteta’s staff are following Ngumoha’s development and could consider making an approach if he struggles to establish himself as a regular in Liverpool’s first team this season.

Ngumoha made his breakthrough under Andoni Iraola and has featured four times in official matches during the 2026/27 campaign, starting two of those games.

Arsenal are particularly attentive to his situation on the left flank, where Ngumoha is still competing for playing time and attempting to secure a more consistent role. The London club could look into a move if the teenager fails to make further progress in Liverpool’s pecking order.

Liverpool, however, are closely monitoring the situation and do not want to entertain the possibility of a transfer.

Ngumoha is valued at 30 million euros by Transfermarkt and is also being tracked by Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Despite the growing interest, Liverpool regard the winger as an important part of their long-term plans. The club’s hierarchy does not want to open the door to a sale, meaning Arsenal would need to be patient and persuade the Reds to reconsider their position if the situation develops.
