England and Ivory Coast centre-back Jonathan Panzo has joined Greek Super League 1 club Levadiakos from Birmingham on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027 after leaving the Championship club. Panzo, who plays at centre-back and is left-footed, moves to Greece after less than eight months with Birmingham.

Panzo joined Birmingham from Portuguese side Rio Ave on 2 February 2026. He had moved to Rio Ave from Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in July 2025, following a loan spell with the club during the previous season.

The London-born defender has made 42 Championship appearances during his career, scoring once and providing one assist. He has also played in Portugal’s Liga Portugal, France’s Ligue 1 and Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League, giving him experience across several European leagues before his switch to Levadiakos.

Panzo began his career in Chelsea’s youth system and helped the club’s Under-18 side win the English Youth League twice, in 2017 and 2018. He also won the FA Youth Cup with Chelsea Under-18s in 2018.

At international level, Panzo represented England at youth level and was part of the side that won the Under-17 World Cup in 2017. His senior career has since taken him to Monaco B, Cercle Brugge, Dijon, Nottingham Forest, Coventry, Cardiff, Standard Liege, Rio Ave and Birmingham.

Levadiakos have secured Panzo’s arrival as they prepare for their Super League 1 campaign, with the defender’s move dated 15 September 2026. The England and Ivory Coast defender is now contracted to the Greek club until June 2027.
