Saibari earns German media praise after decisive Bayern Munich display

Ismael Saibari has been widely praised in Germany after helping Bayern Munich overcome promoted side Elversberg 2-1 in a difficult match.

The Morocco international was used in a new position and made his first start on the left wing, replacing Luis Diaz. He played a key role in Bayern’s opening goal and was regarded as one of the team’s most influential performers.

T-Online highlighted Saibari’s individual contribution, writing: “Starting for the first time on the left wing in place of Luis Diaz, he was involved in the opening goal after a superb individual move. His shot from the left side of the penalty area went just past the right post. Later, he delivered a perfectly weighted pass to Nathaniel Brown. One of Bayern’s best players.”

Abendzeitung also praised the midfielder’s determination after he continued despite being fouled heavily early in the game.

“He was brought down hard at the start of the match but was able to carry on,” the publication reported. “That proved important, because the Moroccan provided the assist for the first goal. Later, his shot narrowly missed the right post. He was energetic and motivated.”

According to Spox, Saibari’s ability to create openings through individual actions made a significant difference. The outlet described his assist for the first goal as “impressive”.

Despite Bayern’s narrow victory, the German coverage focused on Saibari’s ability to adapt to a different role and his decisive contribution in attack.
